CLIENT CHALLENGE FOR TRENDSET
The client was searching for a cost savings tool for their freight-shipping program.  

TRENDSET SOLUTION
Trendset discovered an opportunity for developing a custom freight payment processing application that could uncover incorrect rating and pricing exchanges and increase the invoice processing time.

The process starts with the client feeding Trendset a bill of lading file out of their shipping system.  The file contains all of the information needed so the Trendset program can rate and price each shipment.

Each bill of lading is pushed through the client’s custom rating engine   The end result is a cost for each shipment.

The carriers have the ability to enter electronic invoices via the client’s secure freight payment Web site.  This results in a process that Trendset developed called AutoPay.

The bill of lading is correctly rated and priced according to pre-negotiated carrier contracts.   Everything is then ready to be priced, matched and a payment disbursed, without the need for an original invoice from the carrier.

The carriers like this new application because  payment flows to the carriers more efficiently.

The client likes the new application because it is totally automated and the carriers give them a reduced freight rate because payment is received in a timelier manner.
